Heavy
snow fall in Barrasford
Heavy
snow brought chaos to the village of Barrasford in Northumberland.
The entire district of Tynedale suffered along with many
other regions of the UK on Thursday 3rd March 2005.
Barrasford
resident Catharine Williams took the photograph to the left
which highlights the extent of the lying snow. Estimates
as high as seven inches have been reported, causing havoc
for many.
Barrasford
is accustomed to annual snow flurrys. The snow showers of
March 2005 however provided a welcome chance for winter
sports enthusiasts. Conditions are ideal for Placky Bagging
and enthusiasts across Tynedale are looking forward to a
busy weekends action.
